suicide car bomb exploded Friday in the city of Lashkar Kah in Helmand province in southern Afghanistan, dozens of people were killed and wounded, local officials said.
A spokesman for Helmand police told Agence France-Presse that the car bomb exploded at the entrance to the sports stadium in the city.
Helmand Governor Omar Zawak said at least 10 people had been killed and 37 wounded. He told the agency: "The explosion occurred when the spectators left the stadium after the end of the wrestling."
