The head of Iran's Supreme National Defense University, Brigadier Ahmed Vahidi, said on Saturday that the people of the region do not accept western tutelage over West Asia.
"We have declared permanently that we will not accept any move in Syria and Iraq without the consent of the legitimate governments of these two countries," Wahidi said.
"The West should not thank Iran for stopping and suppressing terrorism in West Asia largely through its presence in Syria and Iraq at the right time," he said.
He pointed out that the defense capacity of his country is the capacity of all Muslim peoples and free, and that is why Tehran provided advisory support at the request of the governments in Syria and Iraq.
