Minister of Defense Irfan Mahmoud Al-Hayali discussed with the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations Jan Kubic several security and humanitarian issues, including the process of securing the atmosphere of the upcoming parliamentary elections.

A statement of the Ministry of Defense, said Al-Hayali gave during the meeting a reassurance about providing security for displaced people and polling stations in all governorates in coordination with the rest of the security services. "
For his part, the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations during the meeting expressed his satisfaction with the security preparations in this regard, expressing his praise for the efforts of the Ministry of Defense to provide security and humanitarian services to all segments of Iraqi society.
