(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) congratulated the leader of the National Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, the formation of the new government headed by Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi.
"We hope that the elected government cab will be a good start in a time of great achievement and hard work for the justice of our Iraqi people by achieving their legitimate aspirations," said Ammar al-Hakim, according to a statement issued by his office.
"We congratulate our people on this advanced step and congratulate the Prime Minister and the elected ministers. We stress the need for the Ministerial Council to be an oasis to take into account the supreme national interest and to give priority to all narrow partisan interests."
Mr. Ammar al-Hakim expressed his wishes "to the government of Adel Abdul-Mahdi to implement the government program strictly and we reiterate our support for the elected government, and God is the guardian of success."
The House of Representatives, granted in its meeting on Wednesday, confidence to Adel Abdul Mahdi as prime minister and 14 ministers as well as vote on the government curriculum.
Eight ministries remained defused due to disagreement over them: "Interior, defense, justice, planning, higher education, scientific research, education, migration and displaced people, culture."
