    BEIRUT (Reuters) - Iraq's parliament speaker Nabih Berri said on Monday that Iraq could play a bigger role in reconciliation between Saudi Arabia and Iran, pointing to Iraq's ability to play a greater role at the regional level and to bolster its opening-up policy.
    "Iraq can play a bigger role in the reconciliation between Saudi Arabia and Iran and thus strengthen its internal front and its external role and become a reference not a reviewer," Berri said during a meeting with Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi.
    "Iraq can play a bigger and more effective role at the regional level and strengthen its policy of openness," Berri said.
    "The Israeli enemy has ambitions for our water, but we will not give up one cup," he said. "This is what I told US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo," adding that "the biggest crisis today in Lebanon is the serious economic situation regardless of the safety of the monetary situation. Hard to reduce the deficit, but Lebanon is exposed to negative results. " Ending / 25
