    Baghdad today - follow-up


    Iraq ranked 16th in the Arab world and 153rd in the "Good Countries Index" of 2019, which monitors countries' contribution to the best interests of the human community.


    The UAE ranked first in the Arab world and ranked 52th in the world. Tunisia ranked first in the Maghreb and the second in the Arab world, while it ranked 62th in the world, followed by Morocco at 77th in the world.


    The data is available on the website "goodcountry.org" in its latest update. The "good country index" is based on a range of data provided by the United Nations, the International Red Cross and other organizations.






    The index measures the performance of 153 countries in a world-wide impact on size and includes 35 criteria divided into seven categories: Science and Technology, Culture, International Peace and Security, Global System, Climate Change and Pollution, Prosperity and Equality, Health and Well-being.


    The following is a list of Arab countries according to the "Good Country Index":


    1 - UAE (52 globally)


    2. Tunisia (62 globally)


    3. Kuwait (67 globally)


    4. Morocco (77 globally)


    5. Lebanon (82 globally)


    6. Sultanate of Oman (86 globally)


    7. Jordan (90 globally)


    8. Egypt (92 globally)


    9 - Saudi Arabia (94 globally)


    10. Qatar (95 globally)


    11. Bahrain (126 globally)


    12. Algeria (132 globally)


    13. Yemen (150 globally)


    14. Mauritania (151 globally)


    15. Libya (152 globally)


    16. Iraq (153 globally)


    Finland topped the rankings, followed by the Netherlands, Ireland, Sweden, Germany and Denmark. 

    Russia came in 41th place and the United States ranked 40th in the world.
