Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi has instructed the Minister of Construction, Housing and Municipalities to form a committee headed by the governor of Basra to select 13,000 candidates from the social protection network with specific mechanisms and conditions that achieve justice for the distribution of the first residential land meal in Basra.
"This step will be followed by subsequent steps in this regard," a statement from his office said.
"The prime minister also urged the workers on this file to pursue their work with great vigor until the full objective is achieved," he added.
