    On Wednesday, owners of factories for the salt industry in Diyala confirmed the return of their production after a 10-year hiatus.
    Ayoub Hassan, the owner of a salt industry factory, told Al-Maalouma that “salt production was a well-known industry for many years in Diyala, and it is carried out through factories spread in Baquba and Khan Bani Saad, but it stopped altogether 10 years ago due to external import and dumping the market in a way that led to Accumulation of losses. ”
    He added, "The support of the national industry has contributed to reviving the wheel of production in 3 factories so far and has started to market its production to local markets."
