The General Petrochemical Industries Company, one of the companies of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, announced, on Sunday, that 40% of the rehabilitation works for the school supplies lab in its Taji company had been completed by the company investing in the factory.
The general manager of the company, Aqil Abdel Zahra, said in a statement that he received / information /, a copy of it, that “the rehabilitation and operation of the production lines in the factory has started as a line for compacting waste paper and converting it into materials that are used in the production of cooking papers and tissue paper (Kleenex) and other egg production line to bridge Domestic need after it was imported from abroad.
Abdel-Zahra added, "Work is underway to operate the school notebook line as well as developing new lines for the production of A3 and A4 papers, strengthening the lab with a modern printing press and looking towards producing school bags and trips in the near future."
The general manager pointed out that "the rehabilitation and operation of the school supplies factory in Al-Taji will contribute to enhancing the company's revenues and meeting the requirements of the local market of various paper products in addition to operating the workforce in the laboratory with the limits of (150) workers and paying their salaries and all their dues by the investing company in full."
It is noteworthy that the General Company for Petrochemical Industries signed an investment contract with the Dar Al-Fawz Company (a local private sector) to rehabilitate and develop the school supplies factory in Al-Taji in the governorate of Baghdad and work to exploit and recycle paper and card waste for the purpose of manufacturing them again and producing new and various products that serve the state and Iraqi market sectors .
