The General Petrochemical Industries Company, a company of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, has announced the investment projects and opportunities available to it that it intends to implement through the conclusion of partnership and investment contracts.
The company’s director general Aqil Abdel-Zahra said in a statement to the ministry and received by Sada Agency, “The company signed a contract with a private sector company to establish an integrated plant for the production of solvents to cover the needs of the Ministry of Oil and the public and private sectors of various types of solvents. This plant is usually one of the mega and giant projects that will be established Inside the company and a million liters capacity annually. ”
He pointed out, "The Ministry’s approval of signing a partnership contract for the production of emulsifiers that is used in petroleum products and a contract for the establishment of an integrated laboratory for the production of chemical additives of various types with high energy," noting that "these contracts will contribute to achieving the company's self-sufficiency of these products in addition to processing and meeting The need of other ministries and sectors of the state. ”
The general manager revealed that the company has ambitious plans to establish giant and vital projects centered in more than (22) investment projects under study to qualify, develop and construct new production lines and laboratories in the petrochemicals factory, Basra paper factory and the Maysan paper plant, among them the establishment of new factories to produce chlorine, caustic soda and nitrogen And methanol, fuel enhancers, etc., by contracting with solid international companies.
