BAGHDAD - Mawazine News, a
deputy in the House of Representatives saw, on Saturday, that the mechanism for choosing the cabinet was unsuccessful and its formation had not been agreed for 14 years.
The deputy, Kata al-Rikabi, explained that "the mechanism of work of the Prime Minister-designate in choosing the cabinet is unsuccessful. Therefore, the relationship was not ripe with political parties and does not fit all of the aspirations of the components."
He pointed out that "the formation of the ministerial cabinet since 2006 until now is carried out by consensus."
Al-Rikabi added, "The Iraqi people have different components, and the prime minister must take into account this diversity in government formation and have a good relationship with those components in order to choose personalities that represent them and not necessarily be partisan."
He continued, "The Shiite component in general gave freedom to the Prime Minister-designate to choose on the condition that his ministry not be counted on a specific entity, bloc or party."
