"We have prepared an integrated plan to maintain all border crossings", the joint operations command said in a statement received by Shafaq News agency, noting that "Basra operations command is assigned full control of shalamjah port with Iran, as well as Safwan outlet with Kuwait".
The statement added, "the naval forces were entrusted with full control of the seaports in the northern, central and southern port of Um Qasr", indicating that these measures were taken based on the directives of PM Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, for the purpose of securing the Iraqi customs department.

The Iraqi Prime Minister confirmed today, Wednesday, that relying on oil is a failed experience, indicating that they have a plan to reform the financial and administrative system to free themselves from oil slavery.

"Arms are in the hands of the state, ports and ports are under the rule of law and not in the hands of the corrupt," Al-Kazimi said, while chairing a session for the Iraqi government at the Sheraton Hotel in Basra Governorate.

He stressed his government's position to control the border ports and seaports of Iraq and fight the corrupt, adding that his government is working to resolve crises and create a suitable ground for fair elections.

He said that «dependence on oil is a failed experience, and that the reason for the lack of funds at the present time is mismanagement and absolute dependence on oil policy, and we have a plan to reform the financial and administrative system to free itself from oil slavery».

Al-Kazimi stated that "the serious investor will receive support and protection from the government. We have an interest in farms and we are trying to pay the farmers' dues in full. We are serious about fighting the corrupt."

The Iraqi Joint Operations Command has announced the development of an integrated plan to capture all land and sea border outlets in coordination with the Border Outlets Authority.

She said, in a press statement: “Basra operations have been entrusted with full control of the Shalamcheh port with the Iranian Republic and the Safwan port with the State of Kuwait, and the naval force has been assigned full control of the seaports in the northern, middle and southern port of Umm Qasr, and the two leaderships have strengthened forces from the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and authorized them With all the powers to impose security and law enforcement in these outlets and to deal directly with any violation of the law or a state of transgression, whatever the bodies behind them, imposing the prestige of the state and protecting public money ».

Al-Kazimi had supervised a few days ago the process of Iraqi forces controlling the ports of Munthiriya and Mandali in Diyala province between Iraq and Iran to curb smuggling and combat corruption.
