The advisor to the Speaker of Parliament, Burhanuddin Ishaq, accused political forces of “marginalizing” minorities in the Federal Court.
Ishaq said in a statement to "the information", that "the Federal Court is the official sponsor for resolving all disputes that arise between the provinces and regions," indicating that "we were hoping from the Pope's visit to involve all components in the Federal Court."
He added, "The inclusion of religious and jurisprudential issues in legislation will deepen the dispute within the Federal Court," pointing out that "the marginalization of minorities is not true because it is part of the Iraqi components that the constitution gave the right to participate in all parts of the state."
Last Sunday, the head of the Sabean-Mandaean bloc, Nawfal al-Nashi, warned against involving religious and jurisprudential issues in legal legislation, noting that the constitution stresses the importance of building a civil state. End / 25 h
