    The Parliamentary Legal Committee revealed, on Sunday, that the number of Syrian and Turkish Kurds, who were granted Iraqi nationality by the region, has risen to 350,000 as part of a systematic policy that the region is following.
    A member of the legal committee, Hussein Al-Uqabi, said to / the information / that “the information received about the naturalization of the region for a number of Syrian and Turkish Kurds, including the Iraqi nationality, is confirmed and confirmed by the Iraqi government in Baghdad.
    He added that "their number exceeded 350,000 Kurds from Syria and Turkey who were granted Iraqi nationality," noting that "among them are 2000 Kurds in the Khanaqin region within Diyala province."
    "The region is proceeding according to a systematic and ambiguous policy, and the central government must verify these people to find out the matter and hold those responsible for it accountable," Al-Aqabi said.
    Earlier, the parliamentary change bloc accused the regional government of granting Iraqi nationalities to a number of Turkish and Syrian Kurds and setting them up in Kurdistan in exchange for voting for them in the upcoming elections.
