The Minister of Finance, Ali Allawi, instructed, Tuesday (March 23, 2021) to support businessmen and to review mechanisms for granting loans to citizens.
The Information Office of the Ministry of Finance stated, in a statement received by IQ NEWS , that "the Minister of Finance, Ali Allawi and Taif Sami, the Undersecretary of the Ministry, conducted an inspection visit to the Rafidain Bank (the General Administration) on Monday."
He added, "This visit comes to see the bank’s workflow, the quality of services provided and the speed of completion of banking transactions for customers."
According to the statement, the minister drew " the application of automation system on the banking business as soon as possible , similar to the global banks sober to provide better services to the Iraqi citizen , " calling on " the reconstruction of its branches to the status of the bank worthy of the prestigious" .
The statement added, "The minister instructed to grant loans for projects, support businessmen, and reconsider the lending mechanisms," noting that "the minister discussed how to develop work mechanisms according to internationally applicable means and keep up with modernity for all the bank's activities . "
He continued, "Allawi listened to the problems and obstacles facing the bank’s employees and developed solutions to ensure that all difficulties are removed. During the visit, he looked at the mechanism for completing citizens’ transactions and directed to overcome the obstacles that may hinder the implementation of the work with the required accuracy and speed, according to the applicable instructions. "
