On Saturday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi and King Abd al-Thani of Jordan expressed their aspiration to hold the tripartite summit between Iraq, Egypt and Jordan very soon, after it was postponed due to the Sohag incident.
The Information Office of the Iraqi Prime Minister said in a statement that Al-Kazemi "received a phone call from King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan."
During the call, "they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and discussed issues and files of common interest, as well as ways to enhance cooperation between Baghdad and Amman at various levels and levels."
The two sides stressed "the importance of holding the tripartite Iraqi-Jordanian-Egyptian summit very soon, and looking forward to developing cooperation relations in a way that achieves common interests."
