The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee intends to submit a request to the Presidency of Parliament in order to include the Information Crimes Law on the Parliament's agenda during the upcoming sessions, stressing that the law will limit many of the cases of electronic blackmail that we witness daily.

Committee member Pricean Al-Aajibi said in press statements followed by Alsumaria News that the committee members are determined to pass the law before the deadline set by Parliament to dissolve itself as an important law that cannot be deported

. An increase in their numbers and rates due to the absence of a law that holds the perpetrators accountable.

He explained, "The law will limit electronic extortion with the strict penalties included in the law, as well as the establishment of a special court that will be formed to implement it, stressing that" the law will not affect freedoms at all.
