    [size=45]The Ministry of Industry and Minerals confirmed Iraq's readiness to cooperate with Lebanon in the field of customs and tax exemptions, in accordance with the applicable legal controls and frameworks.[/size]
    [size=45]A statement by the Information Office of the Ministry of Industry stated that "Minister Manhal Aziz Al-Khabbaz met in his office the Lebanese Ambassador to Iraq Ali Adib Al-Habhab and his accompanying delegation, where the two sides discussed bilateral relations and opportunities for industrial cooperation between the two countries."
    According to the statement, “During the meeting, the minister referred to the historical and fraternal relations that bind the two countries and their two brotherly peoples,” expressing “the ministry’s desire to cooperate with the State of Lebanon in various industries, including textile, leather, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and other industries, and to increase communication and coordination between Iraqi and Lebanese industrialists and businessmen, and to contribute to the advancement of industry in both countries.
    Al-Khabbaz stressed "the necessity of holding a virtual international conference to discuss prospects for cooperation and to strengthen joint relations between the countries of the region," stressing "Iraq's readiness to provide all forms of support to the brotherly Lebanese people, represented by customs and tax exemptions in accordance with the legal controls and frameworks in force. He also instructed to provide the Lebanese side with available opportunities for cooperation, partnership and investment." The ministry has a prelude to actual cooperation and agreement between the two parties.”[/size]
    [size=45]For his part, the ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Lebanese Minister of Industry, stressing “his country’s desire to establish important projects with Iraq in the industrial field, especially since Lebanon possesses expertise in multiple industrial fields and is working to develop them despite the difficult circumstances it is going through,” expressing “his hope that agreements will be reached.” industrial areas that bring economic gains to both countries.[/size]
