    The Minister of Transport, Nasser Hussein Bandar Al-Shibli, arrived, on Saturday, to the southernmost province of Basra, accompanied by a specialized technical delegation that included managers of transport formations and a number of stakeholders.
    Upon his arrival, the Minister held a press conference, during which he reviewed the objectives of the visit, in order to review the progress of work and the implementation of transport projects in Basra Governorate. 
    Al-Shibli said during the conference: According to the directives of the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, on the need to follow up on the implementation of projects in the governorates, Basra Governorate was visited to review the work and affairs of the formations affiliated with the Ministry, including land transport, ports, railways and private transport in Basra 
    He explained that we will go to the Shalamcheh port to open the great arena for trade exchange between the Iraqi and Iranian sides in Shalamcheh, in addition to visiting the typical land transport garage, which includes a number of large trucks, a fuel station for drivers, repair workshops, and others. 
    He added, that among the agenda of the Basra governorate visit will be to follow up the progress of work, implement projects, build giant berths in the great port of Faw, and visit the railway station.
