, the leader of the State Forces Alliance, Ammar Al-Hakim, received, on Monday, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait, Salem Ghasab Al-Zamanan, while the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them.
In a statement received by Mawazine News, Mr. Al-Hakim said, "Kuwait is a brotherly and neighbor country for as long as we have witnessed it and its leaders' positions in support of Iraq and its people."
The leader of the State Forces Alliance affirmed, "Iraq's desire to build the best relations with the brotherly Arab countries and its regional neighbors on the basis of common interests and the firmness of Iraq and its interests and the interests of its people first."
He added, "This is what we affirmed when we received the ambassador of the sisterly State of Kuwait, Salem Ghasab Al-Zamanan, as well as discussing ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and resolve contentious issues to achieve common interests."
Regarding an incident that targeted the Prime Minister’s house, Al-Hakim said, “We called on all parties to calm down and take steps that contribute to the stability of the country, enhance its public security and advance the interests of the Iraqi people, with the need to prepare for the next stage and its important entitlements and great challenges. And transparent to clarify the facts, reveal the associated parties and bring them to justice, so that they can receive their punishment in accordance with the law. Ended 29/b 88
