    The brutal siege came, as they call it, and the people were forced to beg while they were subsisting on rations of rice mixed with animal rot and flour mixed with date kernels, followed by heartbreaks over a fruit that the children did not know the secret of until the parents told them that it was a fruit (banana), and despite all that the people shouted oil. for us.
    After 2003, they announced to us about the sun of democracy and that oil belongs to the people, and they told us that it is a confirmed fact and a tangible reality, but we gentlemen have no oil, electricity or water, but hunger, poverty and deprivation are our share. You can imagine the size of the joke that we laughed at and at ourselves when we believed that oil for us.
    When we were young, we used to sing the slogan (Arab oil for the Arabs. Die, retrograde), but the irony is that after these years, oil has become part of the reactionary share, and we are the share of slogans only.
    It was nothing but a dirty game played on us by rulers, thieves, and prostitutes to delude us of the oil ownership trick and that we have a right to it and it is what we deserve.
    Here is the price of a barrel of that oil increasing in price while our lives and our souls are getting cheaper and more insignificant.
    A game that these people play on us in order to blackmail us or to win by collecting more votes from the poor and the destitute as a political victory or perhaps electoral propaganda for them. In all cases, the people are the only loser. We are used to hearing that oil belongs to the people, but it was and will continue to be slogans and lies that they use to deceive us and drug us while we are living the worst in our poverty and hunger, and we are still admonishing oil to us.
