March 11 and the story of the dinar between Baghdad and Erbil - Anu Jawhar Abdoka
(And those parables we give to people, so that they may reflect) (Al-Hashr 21)
3 dollars for one Iraqi dinar, but after Saddam broke the peace and ignited the war and his shameful and cowardly concession of the homeland in exchange for a temporary political and military victory in the disastrous Algiers Agreement in 1975, and then he engaged in campaigns of ethnic cleansing against his people with all their components and his entry into useless wars with Iraq’s neighbors and the world The whole thing led to the destruction of the homeland and its infrastructure, the killing and starvation of the people, the destruction of agriculture, industry and tourism, and brought Iraq to the brink of the abyss and the real destruction. Today, the Iraqi dinar has become weak, emaciated, shaky, against the dollar, with a value ranging from about 1470 dinars to one dollar in the market and at a value of 1450 according to the exchange value in the Central Bank of Iraq; That is, the value of the Iraqi dinar has decreased by nearly three thousand four hundred percent, 3379 percent, if my modest calculations are correct?!
After signing the March 11 agreement and granting the Kurds some of their legitimate rights, the Central Bank of Iraq issued a coin worth 250 fils, which is a legal commemorative coin on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Day of Peace in Iraq in 1971. The Central Bank’s statement at the time about the coin came:
Article 1 The coin is made of pure nickel metal and weighs 15 grams.
    Article 2
Its face includes a prominent drawing of a dove of peace at the top, an olive branch on its beak, a Kurdish dagger on the right side, and an Arab sword on the left side, both in their sheaths, and in the center the Gregorian date March 11, 1970. Below is a view of the mountains of Iraq and the River Mesopotamia with ears of wheat on both sides. The back of the coin contains: The phrase (Iraqi Republic) at the top and a drawing of a tobacco leaf crossed with an ear of wheat at the bottom and in the middle a small circle in which was written the denomination of 250 fils and at the bottom of the circle the two dates are 1391 AH and 1971 AD.
Today, after more than half a century of time, there are those who did not regret the lessons of the recent past. If Iraq rests, it rests from Kurdistan to its well-being and vice versa, it will never rest, and there are those who want the condition of Erbil to be like Basra and not to reconcile the condition of Basra like Erbil? ! (Of course we are talking here from a service and administrative point of view)
(O hypocrite, first remove the beam from your eye, and then you will see well to remove the beam from your eye!) (7)
Why do some in Baghdad do this and fabricate a sustainable conflict? The answer is very easy. They do this in order to cover up the citizens’ pain and their daily suffering. It is impossible for them to pin their failure in managing the financial, service and administrative file on the light of an outrageous struggle that has no basis at the popular and national level. The Kurdistan Revolution, which erupted more than sixty years ago under the leadership of the immortal Barzani, Its slogan was: democracy in Iraq and autonomy for Kurdistan.
(Tell stories, so that they may reflect) (Al-A’raf: 176).
Reason and logic today invite us to work together, hand in hand, committed to a constitution that we wrote and legislated and our people asked about it together. And you are not alone, it is a body with all its ribs in pain), so the accusations and the policy of breaking the bone did not and will not achieve any benefit except that it will bring more suffering to the citizens of this entire country.
In order for the Iraqi dinar to return to its glory, and to the Iraqi economy its dynamism, and to the citizen his right to a dignified life, there is no way for this but peace, stability, joint action, respect for the constitution and all its provisions, safeguarding the national decision away from external interference, and working for the good of everyone equally. (None of you believes until he loves his brother what he likes for himself).
The ruling elite in Baghdad has tried all repressive methods of ethnic cleansing, chemical weapons, killing, abuse, torture and starvation against the Kurdish people, and to no avail, so why not try the opposite, even for once?! Why do not they deal with brothers and equality, even once, Ollis this is what Imam Ali makes him peace be upon him in the mother of the good peace be upon him. Do not like to grieve - and better as you like to improve you - and become yourself what you're up from others - and the land of people in what you like them from yourself).
More than a century after the founding of the Iraqi state, the time has come for Iraqi politicians and elites to understand that (the mountains are the mountains), as the late Mahmoud Darwish says, and the elevation of Baghdad is not in the acquiescence of Erbil, which will never succumb to injustice, but that the elevation of Baghdad is from the elevation of Erbil.
