A member of the Al-Fateh Alliance in Anbar Governorate, Mahmoud Al-Hayani, confirmed, on Thursday, that the dictatorship practiced by well-known political parties in the province has reached the stage of controlling the judiciary and the security services, while indicating that attempts to control the province will fail miserably.
Al-Hayani said in an interview with the "Information" agency, that "well-known political parties in Anbar province are practicing dictatorial-like policies by controlling the security services, carrying out numerous operations, and launching arrests against citizens opposing their political regime."
He stressed, "Some officers of the security services are politicized and work for political parties that dictate what they dictate to them and carry out arrest warrants and other operations to serve the interests of these parties, in addition to controlling even the Judicial Council in the province."
The head of the Judicial Council, Faiq Zeidan, called for “to change some judges and preserve the independence of the first authority from the pressures exerted by well-known parties in Anbar.”
Al-Hayani added, "These parties are trying to restore dictatorship and work with the exclusionary policies of the buried regime, starvation and muzzling of the Anbari citizen," noting that "these attempts will fail, and no political forces can restore this regime to Iraq."
