Iranian government: Iraq is at the forefront of our priorities in building trade and economic relations
Shafaq News/ The Iranian Foreign Ministry's assistant for economic diplomacy, Mahdi Safari, announced that the neighboring countries are at the forefront of his country's government's priorities in building trade and economic relations, especially Iraq.
This came during his visit to Basra province and his meeting with the head of its local government, Asaad Al-Eidani, according to the semi-official Iranian news agency "Fars".
Safri discussed with Al-Eidani about increasing the volume of trade exchange with Iraq through the Shalamcheh border station and the railway project between Khorramshahr and Basra, and also announced the readiness of Iranian companies to implement various technical and engineering projects in the province.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry assistant referred to Iran's high capabilities and capabilities in the field of drug production according to new technologies and said: Iranian pharmaceutical companies, especially in the field of cancer drug production, are ready to establish good cooperation with Basra Governorate. Safri and his accompanying delegation also participated in a symposium held in the presence of merchants and economic activists in the three governorates.
