Shafaq News/ A source in the comprehensive coordinating framework of the Shiite forces, with the exception of the Sadrist bloc, confirmed on Tuesday that the framework forces are working on selecting a candidate for the position of the first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives according to controls and determinants commensurate with the importance of the position.
The source told Shafaq News Agency, "The deliberative meetings of the framework forces are continuing in order to complete all necessary procedures for the details of the new political process, including naming the head of the next government, as well as the alternative candidate for the first deputy speaker of Parliament, Hakim al-Zamili, who resigned from his position according to the directives of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr." ".
He explained, "It may take about ten days to select the most suitable candidate for the position of First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, after sifting through all the nominated names, because the position requires a person of distinguished political weight."
The source added that "all the names that have been promoted so far have not been decided, and we are awaiting what will result from the understandings and the inter-voting process within the framework on the most appropriate candidate, and everything rumored to the contrary is purely an interpretation."
The representative of the State of Law bloc, Aref Al-Hamami, told Shafaq News Agency, yesterday, Sunday, that "the coordination framework will hold a meeting in the coming days to agree on naming the candidate for the position of the first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives," stressing at the same time that there is no specific candidate for the presidency. the next government.
He pointed out that "there are contacts and negotiations that bring together the coordination framework with other political blocs to form the new government after the legislative holiday, specifically after Eid al-Adha."
The resignation of the Sadrist bloc’s deputies from the House of Representatives and the withdrawal of their leader Muqtada al-Sadr from the political process, confusing the political scene, which has mainly witnessed a blockage since the results of the parliamentary elections that took place in October 2021 until now.
