The deputy of the State of Law Coalition, Muhammad al-Ziyadi, revealed the reason for Iraq's failure to respond to countries that violate its sovereignty.
Al-Ziyadi said in an interview with Mawazine News, "The main problem lies in not using diplomacy and foreign relations to solve these problems," noting that "the defense and military situation is not comparable to Turkey and Iran."
He added, "Political diplomatic action must be taken to stop these attacks," pointing to "the possibility of an economic response by boycotting the goods of these countries, but the question is, is there a possibility of providing goods that are boycotted in that response?"
He pointed out, "The economic response will not be, unless the Iraqi market is covered with materials that can match or equal what Turkey and Iran offer."
The past period witnessed many violations of Iraqi sovereignty by Turkey and Iran, the latest of which was yesterday, when the Revolutionary Guard bombed several sites in the Kurdistan region, which it said belonged to separatist groups, but Iraq considered it violations of its sovereignty.
