Former member of the Finance Committee, Ahmed Al-Saffar, revealed that the volume of smuggled funds has reached the range of 300-500 billion dollars.
Al-Saffar said in his interview with the program "The Truth Is Told", followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "money smuggling is carried out by large political figures, and it is carried out by people who work for them."
He added, "Corruption in Iraq has a political basis and is the birthplace of all other types of corruption, such as administrative."
