The State of Law parliamentary parliamentary bloc confirmed today, Sunday, that the next legislative term will witness amendments to several laws that target retirees and employees, indicating that the amendment of these laws falls within the government service program of the Sudanese government.
The representative of the block, Muhammad Al-Sayhoud, said in a statement transmitted by the correspondent (Iraqi Media News Agency / INA), that “the next legislative term will witness amendments to the retirement law and those covered by the Social Security Law, in addition to amending the salary scale law in a way that is commensurate with the benefits of this segment of Iraqi society.” .”
Al-Saihoud added, “Amending the salary scale law is very important because it will achieve justice among state employees and will eliminate the differences in salaries between one ministry and another, and thus will ensure justice for all state employees,” noting that “amending these laws is one of the priorities of the government program for the Sudanese government's service.”
The Labor and Social Affairs Committee and civil society organizations had confirmed earlier that social security retirement would provide a salary for more than two million workers during the first two years.
