Electricity Minister Ziyad Ali Fadel pledged to present two solutions to the energy crisis, one of which is to increase the import of gas from the Iranian side
Representative Muhammad Qutayba al-Bayati said, “A parliamentary delegation visited the Ministry of Electricity in Baghdad and held an urgent meeting with its minister, Ziyad Ali Fadel, in order to find out the causes of the energy crisis in Diyala, and the lack of equipment at a very high rate in recent weeks, which led to a great impact on the lives of the people.” .
Al-Bayati added, "The meeting resulted in agreement on several solutions, most notably increasing the quantities of gas imported from Iran in the coming period or increasing the import of electric energy to fill the shortfall in the electric current."
He pointed out, "The minister pledged to present solutions to the cabinet table at the next meeting in order to agree on them."
For his part, the ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Musa, said, "Our staff did not detect any defect in the supply of electrical energy with the current rain wave."
He pointed out, "A full mobilization of human resources in power stations, in accordance with the exceptions in force for sewage and water stations, and the presence in the maintenance sectors and the readiness of stores to supply the governing materials."
Moussa stressed, "Things are considered good so far and under control, and we did not record any defect or breach, and our staff is fully prepared and alert."
