Warning of negative results.. Peasant associations demand compensation for those affected by the dollar's rise

Shafaq News/ The head of the Union of Peasant Associations, Hassan Al-Tamimi confirmed today, Tuesday, that the agricultural sector has been affected by the rise in dollar prices, calling on the government to take quick measures to curb the dollar and compensate farmers who were affected by its rise.
Al-Tamimi told Shafaq News agency, "The rise in the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar has greatly affected the agricultural sector and the consumer in general, as the rise in the dollar affects the prices of transporting agricultural materials and other goods, which will negatively affect the citizen."
The head of the federation called on the government to "take real and quick actions and measures to curb the dollar, which harmed farmers and Iraqi markets in general, and to compensate and support farmers by reducing the cost of material prices in the Iraqi markets. Otherwise, this rise will lead to negative results for those with limited incomes in Iraq."
