    Today, Saturday, the Jordanian authorities revealed a set of measures that they said they had begun to implement to achieve "economic integration" with Iraq, after the phone call that brought together US President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, in the presence of Jordan's King Abdullah II, according to "Al-Monitor" International. .
    Al-Monitor International Network said in a report translated by (Baghdad Today), “Biden, who called Al-Sudanese in particular during dinner in the presence of Jordan's King Abdullah II, directly discussed the current dollar crisis and economic cooperation between Iraq and Jordan .”
    The network explained, "There are American efforts to link Iraq economically with Arab countries, including Jordan, to reduce its dependence on Iran, especially in the field of energy," noting "the network link between Iraq and Jordan, which was achieved last October as one of the axes of the White House talk.
    Al-Monitor's report coincided with statements by the head of the Jordanian Chamber of Commerce, Khalil Haj Tawfiq, reported by the Jordanian English-language network (Ammon), during which he affirmed that "his country sees Iraq as an important partner and a gateway." to the Jordanian economy," announcing that "work has been launched to achieve what he said is (economic unit) between the two countries.
    The Jordanian official explained that "work is also underway to achieve economic integration between Iraq and Jordan in wide areas, including trade, investment, energy, transportation and construction," noting that "Jordanian-Iraqi relations witnessed remarkable development during the last period, and in light of the trade agreement between the two countries.” Work is now underway to remove all obstacles to its implementation, especially extending the oil pipeline from Basra to Aqaba and building joint industrial complexes," he said.
    Haj Tawfiq also indicated that "Jordan seeks to be the gateway through which the reconstruction of Iraq is achieved through the expertise that it will try to provide to the country," stressing "the importance of the visit that the Jordanian economic delegation will make to Baghdad." this week," while also on "establishing ( Conference) in Baghdad to discuss the development of cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries on the sides of the talks that will be held by the delegation expected to arrive in Baghdad next Wednesday.
