    Baghdad - conscious
Today, Wednesday, the Parliamentary Agriculture, Water and Marshes Committee voted to submit a draft law of the Supreme Water Council in a proposed form to the Presidency of Parliament, to include it in the agenda of the upcoming parliament sessions.
And the media department of the House of Representatives stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Agriculture, Water and Marshes Committee held a meeting chaired by Representative Faleh Al-Khazali, head of the committee, in the presence of a number of members, to discuss the issues on the agenda."
The statement added, "During the meeting held at the committee's headquarters, the draft law of the Supreme Water Council was discussed, as well as the report and recommendations of the investigative committee on the issue of monitoring and evaluating the performance of the work of the General Union of Peasant Associations."
He pointed out, "The committee discussed draft laws and proposals that reached the voting stage, in addition to examining the study of a table of the development of legislative stages for the rest of the laws that the committee owes."
And he continued: "The committee considered setting a timetable for conducting field visits to ministries and affiliated formations whose work is related to the work of the committee to see its workflow and evaluate its performance in Baghdad and the rest of the provinces."
He pointed out that "the committee voted during the meeting to submit the draft law of the Supreme Water Council in a proposal form to the presidency of the council to include it in the agenda of the council's upcoming sessions."
The committee recommended, according to the statement, to “host the relevant authorities in the disputed areas Article (140) to inquire about the fate of the agricultural lands therein and whether or not they are included in the agricultural plan, and to follow up on the inclusion of the full-time agricultural sector in the draft social security law that is on the agenda of today’s Parliament session.” ".
The committee decided to "reconsider the decisions of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council that pertain to the agricultural and irrigation sectors and to be amended."
