Today, Friday, the leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Burhan Sheikh Raouf, welcomed the call made by the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, for dialogue between the Kurdish forces.
Sheikh Raouf told (Baghdad Today) that "the Patriotic Union was and still welcomes any call for dialogue and an end to contentious problems, and we are against escalation and convulsive rhetoric because it harms the interests of Kurdish citizens."
He added, "There are contentious problems over governance, the issue of elections in the region, and other administrative issues, which we hope will be resolved through committees and meetings between the various Kurdish parties."
Earlier, Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani called on the political forces and parties in the Kurdistan Region to sit at the dialogue table. During the coming days, with the aim of overcoming the differences between them.
Barzani said in a speech he delivered during the opening ceremony of the Barzani National Memorial; In Barzan: “I take the opportunity here to make a heartfelt appeal to all political parties; In the Kurdistan Region, to open a new page.
