    Baghdad today - Erbil
Today, Friday, an informed source revealed the date of the meeting of the two main Kurdish parties in the Kurdistan region, namely the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.
The source told (Baghdad Today) that "the elections institution of the two parties will hold a meeting today in Erbil to discuss a set of developments related to resolving the date for holding the elections for the Kurdistan Parliament."
He added, "The meeting will be held in the presence of the speaker of the region's parliament, Rewaz Faiq, and will focus on the contentious points that impede the holding of elections, the most important of which is the issue of minority quotas."
The two political offices of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union met last Tuesday in Sulaymaniyah.
The two sides agreed to take practical steps with other parties to reorganize the internal affairs of Kurdistan and open a new page in all relations .
In another aspect of the meeting, according to a joint statement, "the two sides agreed to strengthen the constitutional structure of the Kurdistan region, and to accelerate legal and political steps to ensure that the Kurdistan Parliament elections are held on time this year."
