    The Ministry of Agriculture has allocated 21 billion dinars for the agricultural electronic card project, which will be implemented in the country, and within the tripartite budget that was recently approved.
    The Director General of the Horticulture Department at the Ministry, Dr. Hadi Hashim Al-Yasiri, said in an interview with "Al-Sabah", which was followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that an Iraqi agricultural delegation had visited Jordan during the past few days, and met with his Minister of Agriculture to discuss the electronic card and see the mechanism of its application, and see the The qualitative experience of the project implemented by the Organization (FAO) and discussing its points including the number of farmers and beneficiaries, the size of large holdings, and the use of modern agricultural techniques. 
    He added that his ministry also cooperated with neighboring countries in this regard, similar to the quadruple agreement between Iraq, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon in the agricultural sector and agricultural activities, agricultural exchange, transfer of livestock and cross-border diseases, agricultural products, export and import licenses, as well as tripartite cooperation between Jordan, Egypt and Iraq related to manufacturing industries, especially date palm cultivation. Al-Yasiri pointed out the importance of the electronic farmers’ card project adopted by the government, which reflected its allocation of 21 billion dinars for the project within the tripartite budget, with the aim of meeting the needs of the agricultural sector, as well as the investment aspect and providing allocations to beneficiaries in the sector and the services provided to them. The card will also provide an extensive database for investors that includes their holdings. For animal or vegetable wealth or for machinery, in addition to financial dealings with ministries and dues for their marketing of crops.
