    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Thursday (August 31, 2023), political analyst Muhammad Khalil described the relationship between the House of Representatives and the government as the "most stable" in years.
Khalil told "Baghdad Today", that "despite the criticism that arises from deputies from several lists regarding errors or negatives that are monitored in the performance of the ministerial cabinet of the government of Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, the relationship between him and parliament is still stable without any crises or clashes, and perhaps it is the most stable yet." Haider al-Abadi government (2014-2016).
He added, "Al-Sudani's avoidance of engaging in political debates, his failure to participate in the provincial council elections, directing his efforts towards economic and service files, and dealing with political forces, despite their differences, with equal standards to a large extent, prompted a kind of stability in this relationship between the legislative and executive authorities."
Khalil pointed out, "There is support for many political forces for the work of the Sudanese government, although the prime minister came through consensus of the forces of the coordination framework," pointing out, "Political stability has its positive repercussions in important files, most notably security and the economy."

While specialists in political affairs believe that the support of all political forces within the legislative authority for the executive government is important for the government to move forward with its plans and not be hindered or complicated by the legislative authorities, but at the same time it may have a negative side represented in the absence of complete opposition and oversight of the government’s executive tools.
In other words, when the legislative authority is fully supportive of the government in any case, the positive side is the progress of the legislative side and the facilitation of passing legislation that the government needs, but the negative side will be in the oversight side at that time, according to specialists.
