Today, Thursday, the representative of the Wisdom Movement, Muhammad Al-Bandawi, revealed that there are 70 draft laws on the shelves of the House of Representatives, indicating that more than half of the number is due to agreements and treaties sent by the government .
Al-Bindawi told (Baghdad Today) that “there are accusations of the current session of failing to keep pace with the draft laws, and this is not true,” noting that “Parliament is towards reading and enacting laws, including the draft budget law that is expected to arrive from the government.”
He explained that "the draft budget was long delayed, and the country did not witness legislation for the 2022 budget," stressing that "it has become imperative for the parliament to proceed with passing the draft budget law quickly as soon as it arrives."
The Iraqi Council of Representatives in its current session had read a number of draft laws first reading, the most important of which is the draft law for the retirement of guaranteed workers, and the draft law on slums.
