    The Ministry of Interior announced, today, Tuesday, that it has reached the final stages regarding taking over the security file, and while it indicated that significant progress has been achieved in the fight against drugs compared to last year, it confirmed that there has been a significant decrease in criminal crime.
    Ministry spokesman Brigadier General Miqdad Miri said, “The issue of taking over the security file in the governorates has reached its final stages, after the formation of a higher security committee that carried out several rounds, studies, and complete preparations,” indicating that “in the coming near future, the security file in the governorates will be taken over from all sectors.” .
    He added, "The most prominent challenges facing us are drugs, which are considered the most prominent crime in addition to criminal crimes," noting that "there is great work and very high activities."
    He stated that "the Ministry achieved very high numbers in combating drugs during this year compared to previous years."
    Regarding criminal crime, Merry stressed that "there is wonderful work on criminal crime," pointing out that "a significant decrease in crime has been recorded, especially in the capital, Baghdad."
    He stressed that "the Ministry is about to hold a press conference soon in the fight against crime to explain the most important and latest activities in the work of combating crime," pointing out that "there are modern mechanisms in the field of crime detection."
    He stated that "technology was used to detect crimes and introduce modern devices for tracking, surveillance, etc., in addition to the issue of ambushes, intelligence surveillance, and collecting information and backgrounds on criminals, etc., even in the field of electronic blackmail," stressing that "there is monitoring of websites and pages."
