    Baghdad Governorate announced today, Thursday, the start of installing meters to measure the rate of actual operating hours with which citizens were equipped in many areas.
    A statement from the governorate received by Al-Maalouma stated, “In implementation of the directives of the Governor of Baghdad, Muhammad Jaber Al-Atta, and the recent decisions issued regarding establishing a new mechanism for the operation of private generators, supply hours, and amperage pricing, the owners of the generators were directly connected to the meters to know the operating hours, and to measure the rates of electricity supply to citizens.” In the areas of Al-Mansour, Saba Al-Bour, Al-Nasr, Al-Salam, Al-Salam Gate, Abu Ghraib, and Al-Abayji in the Tarmiyah district.
    He stated that "the rest of the districts and administrative units held a meeting with the generator owners and officially informed them of the recent decisions to connect the meters and oblige them to collect operating dues at the end of the month and not at the beginning."
    He pointed out to "taking pledges from generator owners to adhere to the decisions issued by the Baghdad Governorate, and directing them to complete the data and shortcomings related to the transactions of supplying them with the fuel share, for the purpose of including them in the supply, for generators that do not have a fuel share," indicating that "the Baghdad Governor emphasized the administrative units and their energy committees." By monitoring the generators and adjusting their operating mechanism within the new controls and decisions.” End 25
