The Ministry of Education announced that it is seeking to activate the Council of Ministers’ decision for the leadership and innovation project.
Director of the General Directorate of Vocational Education at the Ministry, Mahmoud Abdel Hassan Al-Maliki, said in an interview with Al-Sabah, followed by Al-Iqtisad News, that vocational education is one of the important educational specializations in the country, as it contributes to supplying the labor market with outputs within modern specializations, and therefore it needs real support from The concerned authorities, stressing the tireless efforts to activate the leadership and innovation project, in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
He added that the project will transform the projects of graduates and students of vocational education in all its branches into a real project on the ground, after which a database will be created and they will be supported by providing job opportunities for them, considering it one of the important projects that target vocational preparatory schools in all their branches in the country, by establishing Training halls and forming his own training teams.
In the same context, he called on the Prime Minister to activate Resolution No. (341) of 2019, which stipulates the distribution of agricultural land plots for the outcomes of vocational education from the agricultural branch, and the allocation of a financial grant to students, which was approved in 2019 and has not been implemented yet.
Al-Maliki continued that the decisions, if implemented, will be supportive and motivating for graduates of the agricultural branch, which will be reflected in the labor market, as his directorate is working to give the branch special attention to the contribution of its graduates to increasing local agricultural production.
