    Erbil Governorate confirmed that the federal government has allocated 14 billion dinars to a number of projects related to confronting the repercussions of climate change, water scarcity and floods in the governorate.
    The governorate stated in a statement received by the “Information Agency” that “the amount has not yet been sent, and will be deposited in the Erbil Governorate’s account within the coming days after the completion of the administrative procedures.”
    She added, "Governor Omid Khoshnaw presented a project to confront the repercussions of climate change, water scarcity and floods to Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani during his visit to Erbil last March, at a cost of 14 dinars."
     She pointed out that "On November 13, Al-Sudani chaired the meeting of the Supreme National Water Committee, in which the delegation of the Kurdistan Region participated, and witnessed the discussion of the Erbil Governorate project."
    She pointed out that "the committee unanimously approved the Erbil Governorate project and sent it to the Iraqi Council of Ministers to begin its procedures." Ended/25
