    Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The Federal Integrity Commission revealed, on Tuesday, irregularities and violations in two projects that cost 41 billion dinars in Dhi Qar Governorate.
    The Authority’s Investigations Department announced in a statement, “It detected violations and violations in two projects that cost more than forty-one billion dinars, and did not impose late fines amounting to (8) million dollars on a residential project in Dhi Qar Governorate.”
    The department reported that “a team composed of the Dhi Qar Investigation Office revealed violations and violations in the investment project; To establish a residential complex for the Nasiriyah Municipality Directorate, which was referred to an investor at a cost of (35,052,750,000) thirty-five billion dinars,” stressing that the team’s investigations and follow-up showed that the Dhi Qar Investment Authority committed “violations represented by its president withdrawing the investment license from one of the residential projects without imposing fines.” “The delay amounting to $8,105,900 million.”
    She explained that “the investing company did not submit a financing letter issued by an accredited financial institution,” adding that “the team observed violations and poor implementation of the residential complex projects for notary employees in Nasiriyah at a cost of (6,406,200,000) six billion dinars, and poor implementation of the two street construction projects in the Ur district that were implemented “As part of the regional development plan for the year 2022, the construction and rehabilitation of rural roads in the Qalaat Sukkar district, noting that the Roads and Bridges Directorate in the governorate has not followed up on implementation.”
    She pointed out that “the governorate building was demolished and removed without an inventory of materials or an announcement of a tender; “Which led to a waste of public money,” she explained, explaining that “violations were observed in the implementation of a number of projects implemented by the governorate, indicating an overspending of (187,450,000) million dinars over the cost listed by the Ministry of Planning in the project to construct streets serviced by sewage in The large greenhouse in the Ad-Dawiya district, which was implemented by a private company at an amount of (1,491,722,228) billion dinars, in addition to exceeding the financial cost limits and a difference in drainage in the project to construct streets with sewage, rainwater and sewage networks in the center of Al-Fadhliyah district amounting to (286,280,000) million dinars over the original scheduled cost. amounting to (2,103,000,000) two billion dinars.”
    She continued, “The External Audit Division in the office confirmed that the Government Contracts Department in Dhi Qar Governorate was not committed to the cost determined for the nursing home project in the city of Nasiriyah, amounting to (1,880,080,000) billion dinars, in addition to a disbursement difference amounting to (422,778,000) million dinars in constructing a streets and sidewalks project in The governorate center, which was contracted by the Government Contracts Department.”
