    Dhi Qar Oil Company announced today, Tuesday, the completion of 90% of the project to drill 20 wells in the Nasiriyah oil field, to raise the production capacity in the governorate.
    The Director General of Dhi Qar Oil Company, Ali Khudair, said in a statement received by the Al-Ma’louma Agency, “The company implemented a project to drill 20 wells in the Nasiriyah field according to the established plan and the specified timetable, with the participation of its technical and engineering staff in the field.”
    He added, "The company has completed drilling 17 wells out of 20, and the operations of drilling two other wells are underway at an accelerated pace, and will begin drilling the last well at a later time," noting that "some wells have entered the production stage, and the rest will enter soon."
    He explained, "This project aims to increase the production of the Nasiriyah field, which is one of the most important oil fields in Dhi Qar Governorate, improve the company's production performance, and support the national economy."
    He praised "the efforts made by the company's employees and the contracting companies, and the ongoing coordination and cooperation between them, to complete this vital project."
    He continued, "Dhi Qar Oil Company seeks to develop and modernize its facilities and equipment, implement strategic projects, and apply the latest technologies and international standards in the field of drilling, production, and maintenance, to achieve its desired goals."
