    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Representative Mohamed Al-Baldawi confirmed today, Sunday (January 14, 2024), that the coordination framework has established a road map for the formation of governments, pointing out that there have been important understandings concluded in recent days with other forces in order to set the structure of those governments according to what emerged from the results.
Al-Baldawi said in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “the coordination framework proceeded to distribute the roles after the announcement of the results of the local elections,” indicating that “there were important understandings held in the past days with other forces in order to set the structure of those governments according to what the results produced, but everyone He is currently awaiting final approval in order to announce the content of these understandings and officially begin forming governments.”
He added, “The governments of 10 governorates were decided within the framework in light of the results, and there is a role for the framework in the rest of the governments according to what emerged from the December 18 elections,” noting that “the framework supports accelerating the pace of formation of local governments, which leads to creating complementarity with Baghdad in achieving construction and reconstruction and providing services.” ".
Al-Baldawi pointed out that “the framework understandings with the rest of the other powers have achieved positive results, and meetings are continuing in order to develop a flexible road map, denying the existence of any disagreements regarding the manner of forming governments.”
According to the final results of the provincial council elections announced by the Independent High Electoral Commission, the parties that constitute the coordinating framework and the blocs allied with it together obtained at least 101 seats out of 285 seats available in the provincial council elections that were held on the eighteenth of this month, giving them the largest share. .
Members of the Coordination Framework, which actually constitutes the largest single bloc in Parliament, competed on three main lists, but said they would govern together after the provincial council elections held on December 18, the first agreement of its kind in 10 years.
The electoral list, which includes Badr, Asaib, and those allied with them, came in first place with 43 seats, followed by the list of State of Law coalition leader Nouri al-Maliki with 35 seats, while the list containing Ammar al-Hakim and former Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi got 23 seats.
