    Baghdad today - Tehran
Iranian researcher and political analyst in international affairs, Abdul Reza Farjirad, explains how Iraq has become a fulcrum for regional stability and the settlement of disputes between different countries for the decision-maker in his country. Citing what happened in relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
In response to a question posed by “Baghdad Today” about the Iranian side’s point of view regarding the political stability that Iraq enjoys and is witnessing, especially in the recent period, the researcher answered, saying: “Iraq’s stability is a strong point and is a foundation for the stability of the entire region because of this country’s important and strategic position in Region".
Regarding whether Iran has any role in this stability, the Iranian researcher believes that “his country, in light of its extensive relations with various Iraqi political forces and parties, has contributed to this stability.” But he justifies, "This is not for the sake of interference in Iraq's affairs, but rather for the purpose of assistance and advice."
Farji Rad says, “Iran does not interfere in Iraqi affairs as some Western media say, but its broad relationship based on cultural and religious ties with Iraq portrays these relationships as interference. Yes, there are political forces that sometimes request consultations from the Iranian side, and therefore Tehran does not hold back.” Baghdad should provide it with consultations.”
    Gaza, Baghdad, and Iranian interest
For many years, Iraq occupied a wide area of the Iranian side’s attention - according to observers - but it seems that the compass of the equation has changed slightly towards Gaza after the barbaric war that Israel is waging against the defenseless and innocent civilians there. However, the Iranian expert says, "This is not how you look at things in relations. Yes, the Al-Aqsa Flood operation and what resulted from this operation turned the compass towards Palestine and supported the resistance in Palestine." He explained, "Not only does Iran pour its efforts into supporting Palestine and the resistance there, but also Iraq, Lebanon, and Yemen, and this is what we are seeing. The resistance and important military operations carried out by the resistance factions in Iraq targeting the Zionist entity have become an issue to be reckoned with."
Farji Rad continued, "Iraq, as a government, and the resistance factions are playing their role in supporting the Palestinian cause and the war against the Zionist entity, and Iran is also playing its role, and this is the case with Yemen and Hezbollah in Lebanon."
    "Breaking" Israel from Iraq
He says, "Two important events and a new strategy have emerged in recent weeks; the first was the attack by the Iraqi Islamic Resistance Forces on the city of Haifa, and the latter is a coastal city located in the north of the occupied territories. In this port are all the water desalination devices belonging to the Zionist entity, and the presence of 40 large ammonia tanks." To feed the water purification devices in this city, and the launching of a missile by the Iraqi Al-Nujaba group at Haifa constitutes a warning message; the message is that if the Zionist regime continues to kill Gaza, Al-Nujaba will target the ammonia tanks and a large explosion will occur in the occupied territories.”
Farji Rad added: “It seems that the Zionist regime and even the Americans have realized that the conditions are not suitable for them and that the axis of resistance possesses tools that could pose a danger to the Zionist regime.”
