The Integrity Commission announced today, Saturday, that it had uncovered tampering with (11) state-owned properties and registered them in the names of people in Anbar.
The authority stated in a statement received by Mawazine News that “the staff of the Investigation Department in Anbar Governorate were able to uncover a process of tampering and forgery in registering a number of state-owned properties in the governorate, and registering them in the names of people without a legal basis,” stating, “arresting the accused responsible for these violations.” ".
She added, “The team that moved to the Real Estate Registration Directorate in Fallujah revealed that a number of the Directorate’s employees had tampered with the priors of (11) properties owned by the Fallujah Municipality Directorate.
She continued, “The employees registered the properties in the names of people without a municipality issuing ownership of them.” For them, or the presence of a copy of their ownership registration, in addition to their registration with incorrect numbers in a closed register dating back to the year 2013, which is one of the burned registers; Because of the events that accompanied the control of the terrorist organization ISIS over the city.”
She confirmed, “The investigation team was able to view an archived electronic copy of the register showing the invalidity of the registration process in the name of those people, pointing out that the team found (4) transactions for the properties in question, but none were found.” On the original basis of the rest of the files, despite the registration of recent real estate transactions on them,” noting that “the registrar of the Second Division in the Real Estate Registration Directorate in Fallujah and his assistant have been arrested in accordance with the provisions of Article (331) of the Penal Code.”
