Shafaq News/ Akram Al-Kaabi, Secretary-General of the Al-Nujaba Movement, which is affiliated with the resistance factions in Iraq, expressed on Friday his hope that Kataib Hezbollah would end the “temporary suspension” of its military operations against American forces inside and outside the country.
Al-Kaabi said in a statement today, “We said, and we repeat, and we affirm that our decision is Iraqi, and that we will not stop until we achieve two things: stopping operations in Gaza and withdrawing the American occupation from Iraq.”
He added, "As for the temporary suspension of the Brigades (...), after our conversation with (Abu Hussein Al-Hamidawi), who is (the Secretary-General of the Brigades), and clarifying the reasons, the truth and wisdom in what he decided became clear to us, and we respect and appreciate that and value his sacrifice in these circumstances, as it will be proven in the future that his decision Take it with courage and selflessness.”
He added, "Waiting for the auspicious return of the Phalange's forces soon, and for the suspension to be lifted when the embarrassment and ruling reasons are lifted."
Al-Kaabi continued by saying, “What comes from the American psychological warfare machine, which continues to thunder and froth with threats and intimidation, will not shake us a hair or deter us,” adding, “Any targeting will face a response that suits it, and we affirm that the Islamic resistance in Iraq, with its other factions, will continue with its decision until its demands are met.” .
On Tuesday, January 30, the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades announced the cessation of its operations against American forces in order “not to embarrass the Iraqi government,” recommending its fighters to “temporarily passive defense.”
