Today, Sunday (February 4, 20204), the two main Kurdish parties held a meeting in the city of Sulaymaniyah to discuss the formation of the local government in the Kirkuk and Nineveh governorates.
The "Baghdad Today" correspondent said, "The President of the National Union, Bafel Talabani, received a delegation from the Democratic Party headed by the Secretary of the Party's Political Bureau, Fadel Mirani, and they discussed forming the local government in the Nineveh and Kirkuk governorates."
He added, "The meeting will address the necessity of unity of the Kurdish position and that the position of governor of Kirkuk go to the Kurds, as well as the file of the Kurdistan Parliament elections, the current situation in Iraq, and the threats affecting the region."
