    The President of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, opened today, Tuesday, February 13, 2023, the work of the meeting of the Arab Parliamentary Excellence Award Committee and the thirty-third session of the Executive Committee of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union.

    The Media Office of the Iraqi Parliament stated in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that “President of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, opened the work of the meeting of the Arab Parliamentary Excellence Award Committee and the thirty-third session of the Executive Committee of the Arab Parliamentary Union, which is hosted by the capital, Baghdad, with the participation of heads of delegations of Arab parliaments, and members of The Executive Committee of the Arab Parliamentary Union.

    Al-Mandalawi said after the opening, “The persistence of the occupying entity against Palestine and some Arab countries serves Zionist goals to ignite war in the region,” calling on the Inter-Parliamentary Union to freeze the membership of the Zionist entity’s parliament and remove its representatives in all forums.

    Al-Mandalawi also called on “the Arab and international community to take a serious and firm stance in the face of a dangerous slide that is pushing the world into conflicts and crises,” pointing out that “the repeated attacks on sites and figures belonging to the security forces in Iraq are a violation of sovereignty and a step to expand the conflict.”
