[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Ministry of Transport announced, today, Monday, the progress of completion rates in the first five berths of the Grand Al-Faw Port, while implementation work continues at an increasing rate in other projects within the Al-Faw city area.
A statement by the media office of the Ministry of Transport stated: “After the completion of the first and second berths in Al-Faw Al-Kabir Port, the General Company for Iraqi Ports is preparing to receive the third and fourth berths soon, while next October has been set as the date for the completion of the fifth berth.”
The statement added: "The completion rates in the five berths exceeded 87 percent, and the completion rate in the line project linking the ports of Al-Faw and Umm Qasr reached 61 percent."
The statement stressed that "the linking road will have a significant impact on creating a qualitative shift in transportation methods," noting that "the road, which is 62 kilometers long, consists of two sides (outbound and outbound), with each side containing three lanes for commercial trucks."
It is noteworthy that the linking road project linking the two ports of Al-Faw and Umm Qasr, passing through the submerged tunnel, is one of the main pillars of the large Al-Faw port project, and it also constitutes the most important link between it and the development road./End H[/rtl]
